Louis Vuitton is gearing up for a drop of monumental proportions. Next month, the French maison will launch its collaborative Nike Air Force 1, designed by Virgil Abloh.

One of Nike’s most recognizable models, the AF1 has become an enduring cultural touchstone. Its continued relevance in fashion, music, and art lends itself perfectly to an Abloh-engineered remix, set to release in several stages.

First revealed at Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2022 menswear show, the sneakers are emblematic of Abloh’s merging of “high” and “low.” Embossed with Louis Vuitton’s monogram, outfitted in Damier-checked leather, and emblazoned with “AIR” across the midsole, the revamped shoes reference the cover of It Takes Two by DJ E-Z Rock. Immortalized in the album art is a pair of Dapper Dan-designed Air Force 1s, customized with LV-monogrammed Swooshes.
