Ohbukudani sencha


大福谷 Ohbukudani is located in Ujitawara city in Kyoto.

This place is famous for high quality sencha since Edo era (300-400 years ago).


Especially 上大福 kami ohbuku (upper mountain side of Ohbuku) can produce better tea.

The reason is the environment.

Upper mountain area is based on granite soil, which create bright and refreshing aroma of green tea.

The tea farm is in the valley surrounded with forests.


The producer, Yuta san and his family, mainly grow Yabukita cultivar.

Yabukita is the most common cultivar of Japanese green tea.

Ohbukudani is the best location to utilize the potential of Yabukita.


The uniqueness of Ohbukudani sencha is authentic and classic flavors.
