Description

Lithium Orotate, not to be confused with potent prescription “Lithium”, is a mineral which plays an important role in many cognitive processes and is particularly important in stabilizing levels of the neurotransmitter glutamate. Lithium Orotate also has been found to be neuroprotective and to help prevent neuron death from free radical stress.

Research has also suggested that Lithium Orotate may help support the brain’s natural detoxification processes and to help protect against Aluminum induced oxidative stress as well as increasing intracellular glutathione levels.

Recommended Dosage

For use as a supplement, take one 5 mg capsule of Lithium Orotate per day on an empty stomach. We do not recommend exceeding the recommended dosage.

Side Effects

When taken at the recommended dosage Lithium Orotate is very well tolerated and presents few side effects. Occasionally diarrhea, increased thirst, nausea, and frequent urination are experienced but these are more likely at high doses.

It is possible to get too much Lithium and so its strongly recommended to not exceed the recommended dosage. When high doses of Lithium are taken side effects such as weight gain, tremors, and edema are sometimes experienced. If you experience these side effects reduce your dosage or stop using the product immediately.
